After morning breakfast, we take you to Bhaktapur which is an ancient Newari town about 13 km east of Kathmandu. Today it's Nepal's third-largest city and is famous for its culture, temples, and craftwork. It is a pleasant place to walk as the repaired streets are free of traffic and full of courtyards and squares. Tradition is alive in Bhaktapur; you can watch craftsmen creating their century-old art of pottery and wood carving. It's a great place to buy memories to take home. Here, Bhaktapur Durbar Square is famous for its 55-windows palace. It served as the base of royalty prior to 1769. The Golden Gate of the palace opens onto the Teleju Temple, built-in 1756. The city is also famous for a special type of curd.

Patan (Lalitpur) is one of the largest cities in Nepal. It is located just across the Bagmati River from Kathmandu. Patan Durbar Square is one of seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu Valley. It is the heart of Buddhist and Hindu culture, full of religious art, temples, and monasteries. Patan Durbar Square holds the greatest meditation of Newari architecture anywhere in the valley. In the charming narrow lanes surrounding the square, there are more than 600 stupas.

The Patan Durbar Square is the restored palace of the 17th century Malla Kings and houses sculptures statues and religious objects. The golden doors and windows open to the Krishna Temple which was built by King Siddhi Narasingh Malla in 1637 and is still in use. The temple has three floors and 21 golden pinnacles. The first floor enshrines Krishna, the second Shiva, and the third Lokeshwor
