After the briefing is over, you will have time to do last-minute shopping for the personal items that you need. In the afternoon, before we take a flight, the team leader will check everyone’s equipment, to make sure that everything is right.

The first thing we'll do today is the drive to Dharapani early in the morning from Kathmandu. We follow the Trisuli Rver west, and then join the Pokhara highway north along the Marshyangdi River. As a rule, we arrive at Bahun Danda in the early afternoon, and then take a private jeep to Bahun Danda from there.  The Marshyangdi Valley will be our route for the day.

After spending an overnight at the beautiful village of Bahun Danda, we will prepare for the trekking journey up ahead. Leaving the Bahun Danda, after breakfast, we will start our adventurous trek on the trail that goes around the Annapurna Massif. The trail that we will be trekking today is the first road that has been constructed up to Manang. While trekking along the road trail, you can encounter the occasional motorcycles and jeeps. Following the winding road, with breathtaking scenery, we arrive at Jagat for lunch. After lunch, we will follow the less steep trail which is a good starting for the long trekking journey ahead of us.

Bagaarchhap via Dharapani today. From today our trekking journey gradually gains altitude. Commencing on our trek, we start off with an easy walk to the village of Tal. Tal is an amazing village with more than 20 guest houses. Moving further away from the village on a simple and easy trail through a forested area, we arrive first at the village of Karte and then at Dharapani. Dharapani is the junction point Manaslu circuit trek and Annapurna circuit trek. Once we have our lunch, we will continue our trek towards Bagarchap, following the Marshyangadi valley, with spectacular landscapes and view along the way. During the trek, we will be able to enjoy the rhododendron forest and high waterfall.

Today is the interesting part of the trek as the hike brings some spectacular views of the mountains massif. The trek today begins with a heavenly sunrise view over the high hills. After enjoying the sunrise, we will commence on our trek with an easy walk uphill to the village of Danaque. As the elevation is gradually increasing we will walk at a slower pace to adjust to the high altitude. Easy ascend with a slow pace give us the amply time to acclimatize along with enjoy the majestic views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal.

Walking out of the Danaque village, we walk along the jeep road until we cross the river to climb steep stone steps. Climbing the steep stone steps for a while, we reach the village of Timang. This village comes as one of the most scenic parts of the whole trek. Enjoy a short break at Timang to soak in all the scenes of the high Himalayas and the crystal-clear skies. Moving out of the village, we walk along the muddy path to first arrive at Koto and an easy walk from this village eventually reaches Chame. Once we reach this wonderful village we will have time to explore this beautiful settlement.

The trek today will take us to the elevation of 3,300 meters above sea level. As we ascend towards the high altitude today, you will see the change in landscapes. We will start our morning hike today, passing through an alpine forest to reach a deserted village of Bhartang. From here we will follow the flat trail on a narrow hillside until we ascend a steep long journey through the forest. As we get out of the forest, the views of the mountains slowly appear, and also the path widens. As you hike closer to the destination, you will have some magnificent views of the giant peaks of Annapurna and Pisang Peak. Traversing the trail for a couple of hours gives you a beautiful walking experience until you reach the village of lower Pisang. Although we can trek up to the upper part of Pisang, it will be a bit rough for us so, we will spend the night at the lower part.

The hike today enters the Manang Valley. Today, we will take a longer and more beautiful route than the shorter and more dangerous route to Manang. The route passes through Upper Pisang via Geru village. Hiking on this trail brings you some spectacular views of the Himalayas. Beginning our hike from Pisang, we climb on an uphill trail for half an hour for reaching the top.

Once we reach the top, we will stop at the ridge to get our first view of Manang Valley. This fantastic spot offers an awesome perspective of the valleys, Humde town with its short airstrip, and the considerable peak of Gangapurna, Annapurna II, III, Tilicho, and on the privilege Chulu east, on the back Pisang top. Along the way, we can also visit the Bearge Monastery- the largest monastery in the region. A great mixture of nature and spirituality will make our walk a wonderful one.

Continuing our hike, we will pass through several wonderful villages before we reach the biggest village in the region, Manang. This village is also the headquarter of the Manang district. Manang with its partnership with Mustang is the driest valley in the country.

Today we will take a day off from our hiking schedule to acclimatize and make ourselves ready to go further up in the high-altitude region. On this acclimatization day, we will all spend the whole day resting and exploring the village. Exploring the village area and interacting with the local individuals provides you a better glimpse of the local lifestyle of Nepalese people. We will also go hiking trip to Bhojo Gompa or Gangapurna Lake. This hiking trip helps you to adjust to the high-altitude climate along with the opportunity to enjoy the charming views of the area.

After spending overnight at the heavenly village of Manang, we will walk out of the village after early breakfast. The morning walk starts with the descent walk up the hill which gradually gets steeper as we gain altitude. Continuing the walk through the alpine landscape with high-altitude vegetation and forest, we come across the summer pasture area of Yak Kharka. This village is a small settlement established as a stopover place for the Annapurna Circuit trekkers. An hour of uphill walk from Yak Kharka reaches our destination for today. Once we reach Leder, we set up the camp at this high-altitude pasture land for an overnight stay.

The hike today on the easy trail from Leader takes us to the Chulu West Base Camp elevated at 4900m from sea level. From Leder, around 5 hours of the trek through alpine forest and shrine landscapes, reaches the Base Camp. Once we reach the base camp we can enjoy the stunning views of the pristine Annapurna Ranges.

While our crew members are busy setting up the camps at the base camp we can walk around the base camp to explore the things base camp has to offer. We can explore the surrounding areas or also enjoy the magnificent scenery of the surrounding landscapes and the sky-towering Himalayas.

From Base Camp the hike to Camp I will be pretty challenging as we need to hike uphill in high altitude region. Although the route to the Camp I is not technically challenging we have to carefully place our footsteps as the trail is slippery and a small fault may result in serious casualties. Even though the trail is quite troublesome because of the high altitude, we can enjoy some overwhelming views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains including Manaslu, Gangapurna, and Lamjung Himal along the way to the base camp.

Another day to rest. Today we will rest and acclimatize at the base camp. As we are at a high altitude, taking a break helps you to adjust to the climate of increasing altitude. Taking a day to acclimatize while going on a trip to a higher altitude minimizes the risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) as well.

While we rest at camp I, our supporting crew members will make their way to camp II. The crew member also transfers all the necessary supplies and equipment to camp II and later, they return to Camp I. In the meantime, we can either sit at the camp resting for the whole day or take a short walk around the camp exploring the surrounding.

After spending a day at camp I, today we will make our way towards camp II. The climb to camp II is sort of a rocky climb. Commencing on our trek for the day, we hike through the rock band to reach Camp II. Although the climb today doesn’t involve too much of a technical part, however, in some places we may have to use ropes, a crampon, and an ice axe. We stay at camp II and get prepared for the long-awaited moment i.e. summiting the Chulu West Peak on the next day. Some of the climbers even summit the Chulu West Peak directly from camp I. As the climb from camp II is straightforward until the summit, we take a time to rest and acclimatize at camp II.

After a long and tiring hike, the day to summit the glorious Chulu West Peak has finally arrived. On this main day, the summit push trek begins early in the morning. The trail towards the summit is a straight upward climb on the icy trail. Commencing our hike, we will make our way towards the summit of Chulu west peak through the icy high-altitude trail. Although the trail to the summit is a sleeper and gives you a hard time to climb, the high Himalayan scenes are such tempting that our eyes love to watch more over the horizon than on our trail.

Once we reach the summit of the Chulu West peak we can enjoy the fabulous views of the surrounding Himalayas. We will rest for a while here enjoying the summit view and taking photographs. After a short rest, we will climb down to Camp II and rest for half an hour. After resting we will pack our bags and then make our way back to camp I for the overnight stay.

After a successful summit of the Chulu West peak, and a good overnight sleep at the foothills of the mighty Himalayas, today we will walk back to Leder via Base Camp of the Chulu West. While returning to the Leder, we can enjoy the panoramic views of the Annapurna and other peaks. We relish the view and beautiful memory of the summit adventure of the beautiful Chulu West.

This is a separate reserved day for any contingency. This reserved day is used in case the weather gets bad or if any participant does need to prepare longer for any reason. It is essential to have this day as it quite a risks to try to summit Chulu West Peak while the weather is not favoring us. Regardless of whether to utilize this day relies upon how much the situation favors us for the adventure.

Today is the easy and short downhill walk until Thorang Phedi nestled at the bottom of the Throng La Pass. Once we clean the base camp area and have breakfast, we start our walk towards Thorong Phedi. At the beginning of our walk, we ascend steep downhill before we start our ascend up to the river. Along the trail, you can enjoy the stunning views of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak, and Mt. Khatungkan. Once we reach Thorang Phedi, we will take a walk around the area. We spend overnight at the base of Throng Phedi today.

Today is a big day for all of us. Today, we climb the Thorung La Pass towering up to the height of 5416 meters. Wake up early to climb out steeply to the first settlement of High Camp. The camp is made on the hill of Thorung La. After a few hours, we will arrive at the top of the Thorung La. The pass lies above 5416 meters in the Damodar Himal. Prayer flags, memorials, and a tea house comprise the top. The top offers us great views of the surrounding peaks of Annapurna and Gangapurna. After a while, we follow a steep path down to the sacred land of Muktinath. The place is also known to many as the Mukti Kshetra, the land of salvation. Bathe in the 108 waterspouts present in the Muktinath and also enjoy the never-ending flame in front of the temple. Enjoy the cool and dry weather of the Muktinath for the day. After Muktinath, we will take a short drive to Jomsom for an overnight stay.

Enjoying the view for one last time we will board a morning flight from the Jomsom airstrip. Flying southward we pass through several gigantic snow-capped mountains. The 20 minutes mountain flight from Jomsom to Pokhara will be an incredible memory you won’t forget for lifelong. Once we land at the beautiful lake city Pokhara, we will have leisure time for the day. You are on your own here. You can either stay in your luxurious hotel room or go to explore the town of Pokhara. Here, you can find massage to relieve the tiredness or just walk around the side of the peaceful lake enjoying the magnificent scenery of Mt Fishtail mirroring the divine Phewa Lake. You might also go for adventurous activities such as paragliding, zip flying, bungee jumping, and many more.

We take a drive back to Kathmandu via the same highway we took earlier to go there. Once in Kathmandu, we spend leisurely time back in the chaos of the city after so many days of serene mountain air and incredible adventure. You will have the full day to rest and acclimatize or explore the valley before we join you for the farewell dinner. Walking around the streets of Kathmandu; souvenir shopping; finding a massage or relaxing at the hotel can be easy ways to spend time.

On the last day of our trip, a representative of Himalayan Scenery Treks will drive you to the airport according to your flight schedule back to home or onward destination.

Meeting you has been such a wonderful experience, and we do hope our relationship will keep going long.
