In accordance with your flight schedule, we will be at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu to extend a warm welcome to you in our beautiful country for the beautiful trip. After exchanging warm welcome greetings at the arrival section, we will lead you to our vehicle to drop you off at our trip hotel. It’s a day at complete leisure, you will be on your own and you can do whatever you want to do for refreshment. But we definitely will be happy to guide you around the city.

On the second day of arrival, we will be interacting with each other. After early breakfast, every guest needs to arrive at Company to review their trip so that they can buy and manage the required stuff for their trips. After talking about the trip we will be taking our guests for a cultural sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. The destination for sightseeing includes Swoyambhunath - the oldest monument in Kathmandu valley, Kathmandu Durbar Square – to see the temple of Living Goddess and other medieval architectural wonders, Pashupatinath – to immerse into Hindu death rites on the bank of a holy river, and Boudhanath – a massive Buddhist shrine considered as the biggest in the world.

We will leave Kathmandu today on an overland journey to Syabrubesi in the morning. The highway runs winding past several rural towns and heads towards Trishuli Bazar. After a break in Trishuli Bazar, our road trip heads towards Syabrubesi, the destination for today. The road trip will bring us an insight into the rural lifestyle in Nepal. The drive along the beautiful Trishuli River gives an idea of the richness of Nepal in natural resources. Fertile farmland on the river plateau, terraced fields, and roadside towns are apt examples to give some glimpses of Nepalese countryside life.

From the fourth day onward we will organize official trekking. We will question and check up on guests if they are okay and if their physical condition is top-notch for trekking or not. Once the health check-up is completed we will set off on the very first day of the trekking part. We will trek to Gatlang via Goljung village.

The trail we follow will bring us insights into the majestic views of mountains like Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, Ganesh Himal, and many other fascinating landscapes. When we reach Gatlang, we can explore and immerse in the beauty of this small ethnic settlement of Tamang people. It is the first day of the beautiful experience of walking on the ethnic Tamang heritage trail.

The second day on the Tamang heritage trail takes us to Tatopani. Although the trek goes higher in the elevation, the first section of the stretch descends. We pass through a hydropower dam – Chilime Hydro Power Dam – and then start walking up towards Tatopani.

Tatopani really stood to its name – natural hot water spring – before the devastating earthquake. The village used to have a natural hot spring where the trekkers could take a soothing bath to chase the tiredness away but it no longer exists there after the earthquake.

We will trek to Thuman via Nagthali (3,165m) – the highest point we reach on this trek. On the very first part of the walk, we will start ascending towards the pass via Brimdang village. We get an overwhelming view of the mountain peaks when we reach the pass. The astounding peaks of Langtang, Kerung, and Ganesh Himal, etc. look extremely fascinating. Later, we descend to Thuman village for an overnight stay. Thuman is a beautiful Tamang village along the trail that is normally used as a stopover place. We can enjoy the wonderful Tamang culture and the inspiring simplicity of their lifestyle.

We will trek to Briddim, another beautiful Tamang village in the region. We trek there via Lingling village. Once we reach Briddim, we can explore the ethnic culture and Buddhist spiritual vibrations there. We can visit a Buddhist monastery there and walk around the village to explore the culture and lifestyle there. Briddim makes a typical Tamang cultural exploration and immersion.

We will trek to Lama Hotel today to meet the trekking route to Langtang valley. Our trek descends first to a small mountain stream and then goes uphill via Rimche. When we eventually reach Lama Hotel, we can meet the trekkers in the Langtang valley. Lama Hotel is a beautiful and usual overnight staying camp for the trekkers in the region.

After breakfast, you'll continue retracing your steps to the village of Syabrubesi. This easy route lets you enjoy the area's peaceful forested hills. If you're feeling energetic, you can opt for a more challenging route from Rimche via Sherpa Gaon to Syabrubesi; it will take much longer to reach your overnight destination, but it’s a spectacular detour.

We take a bus ride back to Kathmandu on the same highway. About 7 hours of bus journey brings us to the chaotic civilization of Kathmandu. Once in Kathmandu, we spend leisurely time back in the chaos of the city after so many days of serene mountain air and incredible adventure.

On the last day of this trip, we drive you to the airport as per your flight schedule back to home or onward destination.

We definitely hope that you enjoyed the Tamang Heritage Trek and hope to see you for another adventure soon.
