Royal Trek Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu:
In accordance with your flight schedule, we will be at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu to extend a warm welcome to you in our beautiful country for the beautiful trip. After exchanging warm welcome greetings at the arrival section, we will lead you to our vehicle to drop you off in our trip hotel. It’s a day at complete leisure, you will be on your own and you can do whatever you want to do for refreshment. But we definitely will be happy to guide you around the city.
Day 2: Preparation and Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu:
On the second day of arrival, we will be interacting with each other. After early breakfast, every guest needs to arrive at the Company to review their trip so that they can buy and manage the required stuff for their trips. After talking about the trip, we will be taking our guest for a cultural sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. The destination for sightseeing include Swoyambhunath - the oldest monument in Kathmandu valley, Kathmandu Durbar Square – to see the temple of Living Goddess and other medieval architectural wonders, Pashupatinath – to immerse into Hindu death rites on the bank of a holy river, and Boudhanath – a massive Buddhist shrine considered as the biggest in the world.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara:
Early morning, we take a tourist bus to Pokhara. If you are lucky and get the right side of the bus, you can take pleasure in amazing views of green mountains and villages. Upon reaching the enchanting city of Pokhara which offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, five peaks of Annapurna and others, we check in to the hotel. Pokhara has numerous lakes, known as 'Tal' in Nepali which offer fishing, boating, and swimming. Strolling around the Lakeside city and exploring it in the evening is enjoyable. Overnight in a hotel in Pokhara.
Day 4: Drive from Pokhara to Bijayapur and Trek to Kalikasthan:
Today, after breakfast we drive to Bijayapur Khola to begin our trek. Initially, we start our walk for about an hour through flat paddy fields and cross the river. After crossing the river the trail starts to ascend to Kalikasthan. Lunch will be served midway through the climb. After arriving at Kalikasthan, we rest for some time then explore the surrounding areas. We spend overnight at a local guesthouse.
Day 5: Trek from Kalikasthan to Syaklung:
After breakfast, we start walking through the villages. We walk along the ridge of the mountain which offers good views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. Today, we can explore many villages, its locals and the rhododendron forests. Overnight at Syaklung in a local guesthouse.
Day 6: Trek from Syaklung to Chisapani:
Walking through the Gurung village gives an opportunity to observe the local lifestyle. We move ahead playing a game of hide and seek with the rhododendron and Sal trees. Halfway through the walk, there is a 400m descent, then a 600m ascent for us to arrive at Chisapani. This is the best viewpoint to see the Himalayan Panorama. You will see Dhaulagiri to the west of Annapurna. Overnight in a guest house.
Day 7: Trek from Chisapani to Pokhara:
Today we walk halfway down the hill to Rupatal and climb about 200 meters to arrive at Sundare Danda. Walk 15 minutes down to Begnas Tal and enjoy an hour of boating. Transfer to Pokhara, check in at a hotel and take rest or explore the Lakeside. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu:
Early morning, we take a tourist bus to get back to Kathmandu. Watching the scenic countryside route makes our long bus journey interesting. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, your guide will transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day can be spent at leisure or perhaps catching up with some last-minute shopping or exploring any sights you missed during your first day in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 9: See You Again:
As the last day on this trip, we drive you to the airport as per your flight schedule back to home or onward destination. We definitely hope that you enjoyed the Royal Trek and hope to see you for another adventure soon.
