Pisang peak stands tall as a pyramid just above Pisang village. With the icy slope that narrows towards the top gives a pretty much challenge to the climbers but doesn’t involve high technicalities.

Pisang peak is a beautiful experience of climbing peaks in Nepal that is so adventurously inspiring for life. The whole trip is a wonderful concoction of culture, adventure and nature that creates incredible experience for life time.

After exchanging warm welcome greetings at the arrival section, we will lead you to our vehicle to transfer you to our trip hotel. It’s a day at complete leisure on your own to relax the jetlag. But we definitely help you with the information to go around in case you’d like to do so.

Day 02 Preparation and Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu – BWe spend a full day in Kathmandu today which will be a necessary acclimatization day as well. Early in the morning after breakfast, we will meet for trip briefing where we will talk about this amazing trip in details and answer your questions should you have any. After the brief meeting is over, we are taking you for an amazing cultural sightseeing tour of heritage sites in Kathmandu valley. The sites we take you for the sightseeing today include Swoyambhunath - the oldest monument in Kathmandu valley, Kathmandu Durbar Square – to see the temple of Living Goddess and other medieval architectural wonders, Pashupatinath – to immerse into Hindu death rites on the bank of a holy river, and Boudhanath – a massive Buddhist shrine considered as the biggest in the world.

Day 03 Kathmandu – Bahundanda 1,310m – B.L.DEarly breakfast prepares us for a long day drive to Bahundanda in Lamjung to start the trek. About 8 hours of long drive sees Nepali highway drive through small towns that show a pure countryside life in Nepal. Although we are yet to see more of the rural and remote Nepal during our trek around the Annapurna circuit, the drive brings us some ideas about the rural Nepalese life style. The drive goes along the Trishuli River and follows Marshyangdi River later. Both the rivers emerge from the Himalayas and flow through the mountains and middle hills. We stop for lunch and other breaks along the way and eventually reach Bahundanda after a long and tiring drive.

Day 04 Bahundanda – Chamje 1,430m – B.L.DWe start the adventure trek on the trail that goes around the Annapurna massif. This is the first edirt road that has been constructed up to Manang. We might encounter occasional motorcycles and jeeps along the way. The trek stops at Jagat for lunch and continues towards Chamje. It is fairly an easy day of the trek as we haven’t yet entered the high altitude region. The walk today has less steep going so it feels gentle that is fairly good for the first day of long trekking journey.

Day 05 Chamje – Bagarchhap 2,140m – B.L.DThe second trekking day of the Annapurna circuit trekking adventure leads us towards Bagarchhap via Dharapani today. We gain about 700 meters of elevation on our trek. The trek goes via Dharapani where we might meet trekkers coming from Manaslu circuit trek as the root connects at this place. After lunch we move further ahead following the Marshyangdi valley with spectacular landscape and view along the way. Bagarchhap stands at 2,140 meters above sea level and is a beautiful place to spend overnight.

Day 06 Bagarchhap – Chame 2,650m – B.L.DBagarchhap to Chame section in the circuit trail is an interesting walk of the trek. The walk brings some spectacular views of the mountains in the massif. As we gain the elevation on the trek, we take slower pace to adjust with the altitude. The slower pace provides ample time to acclimatize and to enjoy the majestic views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. When we reach Chame, we will have some time to explore the beauty of this beautiful settlement.

Day 07 Chame – Pisang 3,300m – B.L.DWe go well over to 3,300 meters above sea level on our walk today. We will experience the change in the landscape as we go higher towards the destination. The Chame – Pisang stretch on the trail has some magnificent views of the giant peaks of Annapurna and Pisang peak. Our effort of traversing the trail goes for about six hours that brings beautiful walking experience.

Day 08 Acclimatization DayWe take an extra day here at Pisang to acclimatize before we go any further higher towards Pisang peak. We go for a hiking exploration and return back to Pisang for overnight stay.

Day 09 Pisang – Pisang Peak Base Camp 4380m – B.L.DWe trek to Pisang peak base camp today. The walk takes about five hours to reach the base camp on an uphill trail. We gain a pretty good elevation but with the acclimatizing day back at Pisang, we are good enough to be at the elevation of 4,380 meters above sea level. Once we reach the base camp and have our lunch, we can explore the surrounding and adjust with the climate there.

Day 10 Pisang Peak Base Camp – High Camp 5400m – B.L.DOur adventure continues to the high camp today. About four hours of challenging adventure journey takes us to the high camp for the lunch. The time after lunch will be utilized to acclimatize at the high altitude of 5,400 meters above sea level. We can also enjoy the overwhelming view of the surrounding mountains at the same time.

Day 11 High Camp – Pisang Peak Summit 6091m – Base Camp 4380m – B.L.DIt’s the main day of the trip as we are going to go for the summit push. The climb of this peak demands some technical knowledge of climbing. The summit of the peak brings a jaw dropping view of several Himalayan peaks around.
We, later, climb down to the base camp to stay overnight.

Day 12 Contingency DayOne extra day is needed here in case of any delay on the summit push because of the weather condition and any other circumstances.

Day 13 Base Camp – Pisang 3,300m – B.L.DWe return back to the comfort of lodge at Pisang. We can go for more exploration of the village and surrounding once we are at Pisang or we can simply stay at the comfort of the lodge.

Day 14 Pisang – Manang 3,500m – B.L.DWe are entering Manang valley today when we walk to Manang. We take the route through Upper Pisang and via Geru. This route offers some spectacular views of the Himalayas. We can visit the Barge Monastery, the largest monastery in the region, along the way. We gain an incredible mixture of nature and spirituality to make our walk for the day a wonderful one. Manang is the headquarters of Manang district, a beautiful Himalayan district. We will have some time to explore the place once we reach there.

Day 15Manang – Yak Kharka 4,000m – B.L.DThis is a short day walk to Yak Kharka only for about more or less 4 hours. But the 4 hours of effort on the high altitude trail gives us enough challenges to traverse the high altitude trail. Although challenging, the walk is beautifully scenic and greatly enjoyable. The walk brings spectacular scenic landscapes to our view. We enter well high above the tree line now so the vegetation gets sparser as we climb higher. Yak Kharka is a small and beautiful settlement established as a normal stopover place for the Annapurna circuit trekkers.

Day 16 Yak Kharka – Thorong Phedi – B.L.DAnother short yet spectacular trekking day today takes us to Thorong Phedi nestled at the bottom of Thorong La pass. This place is the base for trekkers to rest and get some energy to set off on the adventurous walk over the Thorong La pass the next day. Thorong Phedi is a small and beautiful settlement that has a couple of guesthouses to rest. As we reach the destination earlier today, we will take a walk around the area to help ourselves acclimatize.

Day 17 Thorong Phedi – Thorong La 5,416m – Muktinath – B.L.DWe are going to strive for the highlight of the trip. We are going to walk over Thorong La pass. The much awaited feat of this trek makes us wake up very early. We set off on the early morning journey towards the pass on a slow and steady pace. The growing elevation and early morning uphill challenge tests us well on our stamina and endurance. The effort is worth taking it as a breathtaking view awaits us from the top. The well decorated pass with spiritual prayer flags and spectacular views makes our time. After spending memorable time on the top, we start descending all the way down to Muktinath.
Muktinath is a beautiful place full of spiritual vibrations. It is also an important pilgrimage for the Hindus and Buddhists in Nepal. We reach Muktinath for lunch and go to explore the surrounding afterwards.

Day 18 Muktinath – Jomsom – B.L.DIt’s the final day of our trekking journey. We walk to Jomsom on and easy trail passing through the Lower Mustang region and Kali Gandaki River Valley. We pass through a beautiful settlement of Kagbeni on the bank of Kali Gandaki River and stop for lunch. The walk today is going to be a little windy as we move along the river valley towards Jomsom. Jomsom is the center of the beautiful Mustang that boasts varieties of beautiful features in the region.

Day 19Jomsom – Pokhara – BA short but overwhelming flight to Pokhara across the mountains is due this morning. We board the plane and fly southward from Jomsom passing through several gigantic snow-capped mountains. It’s in incredible mountain flight experience of about 20 minutes. Once in Pokhara, we have leisurely time on our own to go explore the town. We can find massage to relieve the tiredness of trekking or simply walk around the lakeside. There are options of going for some adventure activities like paragliding, zip flying, bungee jumping and ultra-light flight etc.

Day 20 Pokhara – Kathmandu 1,400m – BWe take a drive back to Kathmandu via the same highway we took earlier to go there. Once in Kathmandu, we spend leisurely time back in the chaos of the city after so many days of serene mountain air and incredible adventure.

Day 21 See You Again – BAs the last day on this trip, we drive you to airport as per your flight schedule back to home or onward destination.
