The Tibet border at Kodari is a
four hour drive from Kathmandu. Another one days
drive from Zhangmo takes us to Lhatse. From here
we take either the Northern or Southern highway
to Mt. Kailash and use the same route on the way
back. Tour duration (15-19 days). |

Day 1 :
Drive Kathmandu (1300m)- Zhangmu (2300m)/ Nyalam
(3750m) 6-7 hrs. Overnight Hotel/Camp. |
Day 2 :
Drive Zhangmu/Nyalam-Paiko Tso (4350m)-6-7 hrs.
–Camp. |
Day 3 :
Paiko Tso – Zhongba (4700m). 6-7 hrs. Camp. |
Day 4 :
Drive Zhongba-Mayum La (5200m). 6-7 hrs. –Camp. |
Day 5 :
Drive Mayum La –Lake Manasarovar (4550m). 4-5
hrs. –Camp. |
Day 6 :
Explore Lake Manasarovar- Drive to Darchen
(4560m). –Camp. |
Day 7 :
Start trek (circumbulance around Mt. Kailash)
from Darchen- Overnight at Dirphuk (4890m).
6-7hrs.-Camp. |
Day 8 :
Continue trek from Dirphuk to Zutul Puk (4790m).
6-7hrs. –Camp. |
Day 9 :
End trek at Darchen. 5-6hrs. –Camp. |
Day 10 :
Drive Darchen to Tirthapuri. (4300m). 3-4 hrs.
–Camp. Where one can enjoy hot water spring and
have a special relaxation.- Camp. |
Day 11 :
Drive Tirthapuri-Nyogze (4350m). 6-7 hrs. –Camp. |
Day 12 :
Drive Nyogze – Paryang (4450m). 5-6 hrs. – Camp. |
Day 13 :
Drive Paryang-Saga (4400m) 6-7 hrs. –Camp. |
Day 14 :
Drive Saga-Upper Nyalam (3750m). 7-8 hrs. –Camp. |
Day 15 :
Drive Upper Nyalam -Zhangmu-Kathmandu. |

Cost Includes |
- All transportation
from Kathmandu to Kodari by Mini-Bus, Kodari to
Zhangmu by truck or any vehicle available at
that point and from Zhangmu to Mt. Kailash upto
Lhasa will be by 4WD Toyota Land Cruiser.
- All hotels accommodation in budget hotel or
guest house on BB basis, during camping all in
fullboard.
- English speaking guide throughout the tour
- Yak and Yakman during Kora
- Transportation by 4WD Land Cruiser with 04 Pax
in one Land Cruiser
- Supporting truck for Sherpa Crew, food and
Equipment as per group size
- Normal China/Tibet Visa for clients
- All necessary permit for Mt. Kailash
