Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking end at Briddim which lies on the lap of Langtang Himal. Briddim offers warm Tamang hospitality at the home-stays run by community members. In addition, visitors can also visit local monasteries of Dukchu Gomba (monastery) chosen as sacred site by the great Tibetan Lama - Guru Rinpoche and Chukla Khnaga Gomba.
Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking starts either from Dhunche or Syabrubesi and passes through Goljung, Gatlang, Chilime, Thuman, Timure and Briddim. The trail may end back in Syabrubesi or follow the Langtang trek from Briddim village via Khanjim. Goljung and Gatlang are traditional Tamang villages. While Goljung has ancient monastery, Gatlang set high on a hillside among terraced fields is the Tamang settlement. One can also visit a Tamang monastery and the beautiful Parvatikunda Lake at Gatlang. From the viewpoint at Bahundanda near these settlements, one can also see a panoramic view of Lantang, Kerung, and the Ganesh Himal, Sanjen Himal ranges.
After the trek of several days, bathing in the hot, healing waters of the natural spring at Tatopani en route from Gatlang to Chilime is an exhilarating experience. Brimdang offers cultural experience at community-run home-stay, while Nagathali in Thuman VDC is surrounded by beautiful views of Langtang, Kerung, Ganesh Himal and Sanjen Himal ranges. Nagthali used to be a popular meditation center for the local monks and priests. Next is Timure on the old trade route to Tibet. A fort at Rasuwagadi in Timure is a historical reminder of the Nepal-Tibet relations that has existed for many centuries. A suspension bridge here links Nepal and Tibet.
Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking offers a glance of the typical life style and culture of mountain people called Tamang. The trail passes through traditional Tamang villages (Goljung, Gatlang, Nagthal, Briddim) where life, culture, and crafts have remained unchanged since the beginning of the settlement. Warm traditional welcome hosted by the locals, their elaborate consumes, rich architecture of their mountain houses and the ancient monasteries and places of prayer add color to the experience of this heritage trekking. In addition to cultural experience, this trekking also offers stunning mountain views of Langtang and wilderness walking experience through beautiful landscapes of alpine terrain and rhododendrons forests. Hot bath in the healing hot-water spring at Tatopani will also be an unforgettable experience of this trekking.

| Day 01: | Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1467 m.) This will take around about seven hours. Driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabrubesi passing through Dhunche. En route we will catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. |
| Day 02: | Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2238m.) It takes about six hours. During this route you experience of the Tamang culture. This day you walk through villages. The cultural show at Goljung and Gatlang set high on a hillside among terraced fields is a Tamang settlement. One can visit a Tamang monastery and beautiful Parvatikunda Lake at Gatlang. | Day 03: | Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m.) It takes about six hours. enjoy sightseeing of Langtang range and Ganesh Himal. At Tatopani which naturally signifies 'hot water', can take hot bath in natural hot springs with bathing areas in the lap of the mountains. It is believed that taking a dip into this spring would heal you from your aches and pains. |
| Day 04: | Tatopani to Thuman (2338m.) En route you can see animals like monkeys and deer. Enjoy the panoramic view of Langtang, Kerung, Ganesh Himal, Sanjen ranges can be distinctly experienced from Nagthali. Nagthali used to be a popular meditation center for the local monks and priests. Another cultural village Thuman is popular for its Shamanic performances and beautiful view of Langtang. Beautiful view of the mountains can be seen from every house in Thuman. |
| Day 05: | Thuman to Timure (1762m.) It takes five hours hours. During the trekking from Thuman to Timure you can visit nearby historical Rasuwagadi. This day's trekking grants you an opportunity to observe Tibeto Burman Tamang culture on the two villages on the way. Timure is on the old trade route to Tibet. A fort here is a historical reminder of the Nepal Tibetan relations that has existed for many centuries. A suspension bridge here links Nepal and Tibet. |
| Day 06: | Timure to Briddim (2229m.) Takes about six hours to reach at camp. Experience village life of Briddim. | Day 08: | Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu It takes seven hours. Drive along the unpaved road till Betrawati and you begin to follow narrow well paved road. overnight in Kathmandu. |
