Trekking

Everest Panorama Trekking:

Everest Panorama trekking to see Everest up close. To approach the world’s highest mountain as closely as is possible for a trekker. To experience Everest. But there’s more to the Everest trek than just Everest. For one, there are all these other beautiful snow-clad peak – Ama Dablam, Kwangde, Thamserku, Pumori, to name just a few – that emerge above the hills as you trek, and the breathtaking mountain scenery all around: deep, forested valleys with the Dudh Kosi river surging below, picturesque waterfall, giant rhododendrons in bloom (during spring and summer), the amazing shades and shapes of the mountains beyond the tree line, the awesome, somber glaciers.

Everest Panorama trekking offers the villages and the Sherpa people with their Tibetan culture. The Buddhist monasteries (called gompas) where lamp in ochre robes drone ancient prayers and perform age-old rituals, the chortens (stone-and-earth mausoleum-like structures) and many walls (rows of piled mantra-inscribed stones) that mark the winding paths, the prayer flags strung on poles and bridges, sending prayers to heaven as they flutter in the wind. And the hairy lumbering yaks –the quaint Himalayan bovine – carrying supplies or simply grazing, their tinkling bells often the only sound in remote misty mountain pasture.

The Path of Everest panorama trekking Between lukla and Namche Bazaar, the peaks of Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku and, of course, Khumbila will come into view at various places, towering over the Dudh kosi valley through which the trail runs, crossing and re-crossing the river across swaying stel bridges. About 1 km/0.6 mile blow Namche Bazaar is an Everest viewpoint, giving you your first sight of the summit.

To get your first panoramic mountain view, climb just above Namche (an excursion most trekkers undertake on day they stay back in the village to acclimatize). You see Everest from here, peering above the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge, beside Thamserkhu, Kantega, kusum Kanguru on the southeast, Khumbila on the north and Kwangde (6187m/20,298 ft) dominating the western horizon.

The snow peaks of Kwangde are, however, best viewed from Thami if you take the side-trip from Namche. Looking back from Thami are magnificent views of Thamserkhu, Kantega and the other eastern peaks.

The trail of Everest panorama trekking from Namche to Tengboche winds above the deep gorge of the Dudh Kosi (look out for Himalayan tahr – a wild mountain goat – and other wildlife, in the forest below) before descending to cross the river and rising steeply again. In summer, this stretch is ablaze with rhododendron flowers. The magnificent peak of Ama Dablam (6856m/22,493 ft) peers above the forests at many points. Everest Panaroma Trekking is short but very scenic trek offers really superb view of the world’s highest peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam and other many snowy peaks.
